Visitors
with Disabilities On arrival in the Baron's Hall, please ask the Steward for the laptop display of the Staterooms. A 30 minute DVD has been made of the upper Staterooms so visitors in wheelchairs may watch this in the Hall. |

Visually impaired visitors will find large print room guides available from the Baron's Hall Steward. There are also some Braille guides for blind visitors. Although the handling of exhibits is not allowed, our experienced Room Stewards are on hand in each room to answer questions. The historic gardens consist of gravel and grass paths, with ramps to each level and plenty of benches throughout. Entry to the Toy Museum is via 5 steps and therefore unsuitable for wheelchair visitors. Please ask the Toy Museum Steward for a copy of the pictorial guide. The Garden Tea Room has access at the rear of the building for wheelchair visitors. The Gift Shop is accessible by wheelchair but they do have limited aisle space. |
