The Place to Eat

Penshurst Place & Gardens can offer a variety of superb lunchtime dining options and menus to our group visitors.

Our Garden Tea Room is open throughout the visitor season and serving a selection of hot and cold home-cooked style menus as well as a carvery on some days. They also serve wonderful afternoon cream teas and Penshurst Place High Teas.

We recommend you prebook our group menus which are listed in our Group Booking Form. Your tables will then be reserved and your meal served at your tables.

Our Tea Room also offer a variety of daily self-service lunchtime menus. Just let us know you will be staying for lunch on your booking form.

Dining for Groups

For those looking for more of a dining experience, we can offer a served 2 or 3 course menu, with wine and coffee, in a uniquely atmospheric environment of the Sunderland Room, the original 14th century Solar.

Please note the Sunderland room is situated up some relatively steep winding stairs. Alternative rooms are available for smaller groups in the cosy original medieval Buttery.
