For Groups

The Place for Groups

Please thank everyone at Penshurst for making our visit a really enjoyable day. An interesting house, magnificent gardens and lots of interest for everyone.  Even the cream tea has been voted as "the best one we have had so far.''

Groups wishing to visit Penshurst Place and Gardens have two options, either pre-booking a guided tour or a non-guided/freeflow visit.

Groups of 15 or more people qualify for the group rate. For fewer numbers please contact us for prices.

Guided Tours of the House and Gardens are available. See our Guided Tours page for further information.

For non-guided groups, the house opens at 12 noon. There are information cards available for each room in English, French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese, as well as knowledgeable Room Stewards on hand to answer questions.

  • Group leaders are welcome to visit in advance of their group visit.
  • Coach drivers are entitled to free admission and receive a refreshment voucher, for our Garden Tea Room.
  • A group leader booking lunch for their group will receive a complimentary meal from the chosen menu.

We recommend you book your refreshments in our Garden Tea Room - we have set lunch menus available for groups as well as our delicious Penshurst Place cream tea. Please see our Group Menus section for details.

Combine a visit to Penshurst Place with another attraction on the same day; see our Joint visits page or try a Winter House Tour.

You can also stop off and visit our Gift Shop which is open all year. Located at the Visitor Entrance, next to the hard-standing car park.
